Vera Bighetti: Gr@fite

Sao Paulo-based Vera Bighetti has created Gr@fite, a study based on hip hop culture. Using generative techniques, she has built a series of soundtoys that relates to the way a “grafiteiro” (great word!) or DJ “sprays” their sounds or graphics.

The interactive pieces don’t always hit the mark dead-on, but some of them are compelling and Bighetti uses breakbeat samples quite succesfully.
