For those of you who happen to be in Paris tomorrow, I will be giving a presentation at the seminar "Vers un alter design?" (”Towards a different design?”, info in French only) at the Centre Pompidou. I will be presenting in a session on “Expressions graphiques contemporaines”, and I’ll show off Generator.x as well as my own work while talking about new roles for designers as coders and authors. Also presenting will be Rudy Vanderlans, founder of Emigre and an old hero, as well as Marcia Lausen and some French designers I’m looking forward to seeing the work of.

The seminar is part of a much bigger exhibition called D-Day, which is about contemporary design in all its forms. My French connection is the visual music label Dalbin, who are curating the music and design part of D-Day. Dalbin presents an interesting approach to producing and promoting audiovisual acts, definitely one to watch.

Of course, with Generator.x coming up I’ve stipulated a maximum 24 hour stay, so Sunday I’m already back slaving over my computers.
